Times are one way from Marloth Park and depend on traffic and the gate queue.

By air

Fly to KMIA (MQP) from Johannesburg or Cape Town. From the airport it’s about 1 h 50 to Marloth Park on the N4. I collect you at arrivals; the fare is per car. Skukuza Airport is inside Kruger; ask me for a quote.

KMIA Airport transfers

By road from Johannesburg

About 430 km, 4 h 30 on the N4 toll road through Nelspruit, Malelane and Hectorspruit. Plan fuel stops along the N4 before arriving.

From Mozambique

The Lebombo border post at Komatipoort is about 25 minutes away. I collect from the border by arrangement.

Into Kruger from here

Crocodile Bridge Gate is about 25 minutes, Malelane Gate about an hour. Gates open at 05:30 to 06:00 depending on the season; a transfer is a road trip to the gate, and your guide or your own car takes you inside.

Inside Marloth Park

There are no fences between the houses and the animals. Drive slowly, especially at dusk, and never leave food in the car. If you’d rather not drive at all, I’m here for lifts to the shops and the gates.

Car hire or a transfer?

A transfer suits guests who want to settle in and leave the driving to someone local. A hire car gives you flexibility for daily exploring.
